They are out there to protect..and keep the city safe..
they work hard hours...they get alot fo crap thrown at them..
actually..the first thing that came to my mind was...
"mmmmmmmmm..police officers...soooo hot!!!!"

Well I have been married to my husband for 14 years and my opinion of him is held in the highest regard.
To some extent it depends on the L E O your speaking of. If your a hard working, just, fair cop, who can leave work at work you will find a nice lady sooner or later too.
The L E O's who leave the police radio on all day and all night at work and never go all the way home are the ones who do not tend to find the world cynical and lost to its own vices. I hope my answer is of some help to you.

I will respect them unless they give me a reason not to. So far I like and respect police officers I met. Police in general I respect.

Most by far deserve respect. they put their lives on the line daily.
For what, to try to catch some criminals. Then they get flack, if they arrest or ticket someone that breaks the law, and their family whines or the one arrested whines.
Most people want them around when someone else breaks the law, but not when they do, thus instead of chewing themselves out they take it out on the officer, or the whole force.
There are some bad police, but most try their hardest to do a good job.

I think that police officers have a very difficult job and get very little respect for the job they do. For the most part they're hard working and honest people.
