I've been taking Claritin during the day and it works great; however, tonight I've been sneezing my head off and blowing my nose like crazy. I, too, can only occassionally breathe out of one nostril. What's a GOOD cold medicene that doesn't wipe you out? It has to be non-drowsy as I have a toddler to look after. Or...I can take something to knock me out at night, but not Nyquil or Benadryl as those knock me into next week!

I have always found that Dayquil works on some colds and Sudafed on others. I keep both in the house for that reason. I take a 1/2 dose of Nyquil at night because it knocks me out too well.

I hope I helped, feel better!

STOP taking over the counter decongestants-they dry out your body and can cause long term damage to your organs. Start taking a teaspoon of LOCAL honey each day and you won't have allergies, colds or the flu symptoms. Local honey works with your body to develop immunity to all the air born irritants around you including dust, mold, smog, pollen and pet dander. It also reduces the cold and flu symptoms you experience in the winter. You will find that you are, over all, healthier if you take local honey. I will boost your immune system. It has no side effects, is 100% natural and doesn't make you drowsy. Like all herbal remedies, it will take some time to work but the results are worth it. Be careful about blowing your nose too hard. This creates lesions or cracks in the sinuses where germs can take hold and cause infections-with the claritin, you are also really dried out so the cracks can form really easy.
