A mood disorder, recorded by a Medical Board, is grounds for discharge for a condition which existed prior to enlistment and one which should have disqualified you in the first place. You will receive a general discharge under honorable conditions and your re-enlistment code will be RE-4. That will bar you from entry into any other branch of the armed forces in the future.

My buds did and it takes a whole lot of time and effort, all on your part of course, to get a VA approval or status change. However, dependent upon your discharge it may not come back to haunt you. Sorry for the effects of service, an unfortunate cost to protecting our country. Thanks though for doing your part.
