I was born in 1992 Macedonia. But that was called Yugoslavia before that technically macedonia became independent in september that same year. So am i born in yugoslavia or macedonia?

Hi! One of the other answers said you were born wherever your birth certificate says you were born. That sounds right to me. As for me, I was born at the Millington Tennessee Naval Air Base in Millington, Tennessee in America. I've lived in Arkansas since I was 9 years old. I will be 54 in November. You are born where your birth certificate says. You may however state that you were born in Yugoslavia which is now Macedonia. I am old enough to remember it as Yugoslavia, did not know it is now called Macedonia, thanks for the Geography lesson. May the Lord Jesus Bless you richly! As for me I was born in Arizona in the USA.

You may call it whatever country you wish. I would go with Macedonia because people will be more familiar with that as time goes on.

If you want people to understand where you are from you use the current name and say, "formally known as Macedonia."

Los Angeles, well really Culver City but my house is like one mile away from LA so we just say we I was borhn in LA. and I still live in LA. Okay, Im really ten and I dont care. I plan to move to Arizona after I finish college to live with my OTHER family. (my mom lives in Arizona) If u think Im lyin, then why would I write so much. I'd think that your citizenship would be that of a Yugoslavian as that was the name of the country at the time. Myself I am born and raised in Canada.
