I wink at everyone.
It's an addition of congenial expression to my delightful speaking voice. It makes people feel like they're closer to you, 'In the know,' like you've shared a secret.
It was something I learned a long time ago in a few pyschology courses and I've found it to work very well in story telling, selling cheese and flirting. ;-)

This stems from 'old school'. Gals remember guys that wink. Yes, if it's not a tick, it's directly connected to flirting. Timing is important on this act, as simple as it is, or what it represents. Typically, when the guy is departing, or leaving. A smile, catch you later, (I promise), and a wink to seal the deal with a smile. It use to really mean something. If given, it was special. The gals knew they were special. Winks used to be saved, for the SPECIAL one. They knew who they were.
