Ha ha no, but they would deserve it.
Why would a cop only give a warning if you were speeding with children in the car? Isn't that more reckless than speeding alone?
And how is that anything to do with 'fairness'? Sounds more like 'trying to pretend you aren't a p*g in front of the kiddies'.

in my state the fines are doubled in a school zone.

No. It will double though if you are caught speeding in a school zone or construction zone...at least for my state.

No, but the officer may ask if you were endangering children. The sign itself means nothing.

No...In fact if you have small children the police officer will sometimes give you just a warning as to demonstrate to the children their fairness.

yes ..but you might get off light if you distract the officer by offering some of your rum and coke, or a hit off that joint burning in the ash tray.
