There's 2 answers to this questions, depending on whether you are an optimist or pessimist...
1) It won't take much longer, because the majority of scientists (at least 95% in some polling data), and more and more religious leaders everyday, hold the evidence of evolution as honest and trustworthy and admit it occurs.
2) It could take 100+ years in the Bible Belt (U.S.), with all the superstition and ignorance abounding on the subject (case in point--the confusingly popular creationist "museum", a term I use very loosely).
At any rate, it doesn't matter, because the theory and the evidence is pretty much sound whether anyone accepts it or not. It doesn't take blind belief to develop mutations, reproduce, and be affected by natural selection...it is a fact of the natural world.

To paraphrase Darwin's comment in his book 'Origin of the species'; if an organisim or organic mechanism was discovered that could not be explained by gradual incremental mutation then his theory of evolution could not stand.
Scientific discovery is tending toward providing just that kind of proof - research the flagellum tail on bacteria - and certain scientists are now saying that within 10 years the scientific community will be facing the inevitable conclusion that Darwin's theory does not hold up under modern scientific investigation. Guess we will see.

And all people who've been updating taxonomy with genetic sequencing. they are going to all chuck it in and flow fishing extremely. Oh properly, there is going some multi-billion dollar industries.

The majority has figured it out. A minority of Christians in middle America won't hold out long, 2, 3 generations tops.

For the most part, they'll live the lie to the grave, leaving their children to answer for them. Creationists live without honor.
