I have heard of it, but most professional drivers use the heel toe method. That means right foot driving. The method you describe is dangerous, usually involves secondary collisions during extreme stopping maneuvers. This is caused by pushing both pedals to the floor when in a panic/extreme braking maneuver. I was trained at the NATO Counter Terrorist Defensive and Evasive Driving School. We were never taught right foot gas, left foot brake driving. We were taught how to make an armored Mercedes Benz and other vehicles dance.

Trained to operate a radio car like that ? No. No EVOC course I have ever attended in numerous departments for Advanced Pursuit Driver Training would they or have they ever taught such a reckless manner of driving.

The only time that you use both feet is when there is a clutch involved.

no they are trained to drive with their right foot on the brake and their left foot on the gas...
what do you think? we get trained to drive right for both because its the best way...they arent gonna train us to be bad drivers..tell those 2 people that they dont know anything xD

Only when we are power braking the **** out of a patrol car.

I heard people that ask questions like this one walk around with their head up their butt and do not get enough oxygen to think straight.

I've been a police officer for almost 12 years and I have never heard that. What difference would it make anyways?

No.. that's a ridiculous way to drive.. and an engine is much stronger than the wheel brakes can hold.... specially once the vehicle has forward momentum. Try it yourself one day...

No but they do stick their feet beneath the car and run ( like the flintstones ) when they need more power in a pursuit.

Only in some situations. In cases where you need to increase the agility of your driving, i.e. a high-speed chase through a residential area, this can help. But, for cruising around town, it's not common.
