2 times today i walked away from my computer only to find that it had gone to a DOS like safe mode , highlighting something about "restart as regular", which i accepted. then it rebooted. when it went back to my desktop, i clicked on the word doc i was working on, i saw "doc recovery side window" asking me if i wanted to save the 2 previous word docs i was working on. why did my computer go to safe mode today, 2 times, what's going on? 2 days ago, i was on the phone with a printer tech helping me to install my all in one HP f380 printer,scanner, copier, and she placed it in safe mode for a minute, but that printer set up is over[ she was looking into some files i had on my computer at that time]. if you know, please advise. thanks

You might have a virus working on your system. If you don't have any protection try this.
Go to http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10726661.html?tag=lst-0-1 and download a free antivirus program called AVG and run it through the system...
also go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en&mg_id=10134 and download "Windows Defender"...again its free.
Let both programs scan the computer.
