The cc belongs to the issurer which is amer express...they can do anyting they want with it and i guess they did .. you should get a hold of ae and ask them why

I don't know the legalities, but I would think that a creditor could cancel credit at any time for any or no reason. Doesn't seem fair,but probly legal regardless.

American Express is doing that to a lot of people. No one seems to understand why or how they are choosing which customers to close on.
But yes, they can do that.
