i clicked save as, named it, then saved it to desktop. i have my other resumes there,, which i have been able to upload to monster in the past. when i went to upload it to monster, monster said it needs to be in .doc to upload. i thought as long as you save it to desktop, in word 2007, it is automatically a doc file. how do i correct this please?

When you save it, select word 2003 (or a previous version). For some reason, word 2007 adds an X onto the extension.

The default file format for Word 2007 is .docx - which is NOT the same as previous versions which are .doc
This is the new open source format file for Word.
In Word 2007, you need to SAVE AS and select the older version of .doc
