I have heard a lot of mean stories about women in the marines lately, and I was just wondering if the stories of their extreme promiscuity are true. And if so, are they like that before they go in, or do they become that way upon entering the corps? I am in no way trying to be rude or offend anyone.

it's all on that person. no, it's not something that the marine corps does to womens' heads. I know PLENTY of honorable marine females. there are a few like that though (sadly) and as for rumors saying ALL of them are like that, it's the few that taints the image for all of them. most of them uphold the core values of honor, courage and commitment.

if youre saying you want to be a marine and you're a girl then I personally have a lot of respect for that! I appreciate everyone that serves our country and I'm a girl I respect any girl in the service. so I say go for it if you're thinking about it! my boyfriend is a marine and I was reading through his books and had thoughts about doing it but it's just not for me but again if you're thinking about it..I say go for it! and I also think its good to have some women in the marines! guys don't have to do everything!!

Extreme promiscuity is a symptom of hysterical personality. Derived from the Greek word "Hysteros" for "wandering uterus". I worked with WMs for many years while assigned to Fleet Marines and at various Marine Corps Bases as a Navyman. I can assure you that their ranks are not filled with hysterical women. They are Marines!
