Lair is the way to go.
The thing with Lair is you really have to take the time to learn to fly your dragon and master all the moves. It can be a bit frustrating at first but after you get the hang of it Lair is absolutley amazing. My advice when you get it wouldbe to play the first 2 or 3 levels over and over until you get silver orgold medals every time. After you can do that you're ready for the harder parts of the game.
The graphics are incredible and the way water looks as you fly over it is the best I've ever seen in any game and betterthan most CG movies!! The way the water shimmers in the sun looks better than Finding Nemo!!! Its nuts.
The story is epic and teh action is non-stop. There is so much going on in these battles its easy to lose your cool. Lair is an exceptional game, It is a game that will be looked back on as a stepping stone for future titles and I think that it got some low scores because reviewers didn't takethetime to really master Lair.
Go with Lair. Its awesome!!! Warhawk and Heavenly Sword are out now too and they are both incredible too!!
Later.

I would definetly go with Ghost Recon 2. That game is so bad ***. I've seen previews of Lair and it does look good but I think GRAW2 looks way better. The best game out right now for the PS3 is Resistance Fall of Man ....the online play is INCREDIBLE!! Whatever you do, DO NOT waste your money on that piece of crap Rainbow Six Vegas. The graphics make it look like a PS2 game. Splinter Cell Double Agent is a good one 2. But outta the 2 you said I would have to go with GRAW2.

GRAW2 > Lair
But if you don't mind getting something else, I found these games much better than GRAW2:
Resistance: Fall of Man
Rainbow Six Vegas
Warhawk (I highly recommend this)
Motorstorm
Oblivion
Ninja Gaiden Sigma

I think that you should get Lair. Yeah, I know that Lair didn't get good reviews, but I have the game, and I think that the game is awesome. The people that reviewed Lair obviously couldn't get used to the Sixaxis controls, but I like the Sixaxis controls and I'm glad that the game has it. I'm glad that I didn't listen to the reviews because I almost decided not to buy the game.
Right now, I'm at the last level of Lair, but I haven't played it yet though, so I'm about to beat Lair. Lair isn't a very long game(14 missions) , but to me it's worth it because the story and gameplay are like nothing else and Lair isn't very difficult, but some missions are tougher than others.

nicely i've got no longer performed GRAW2, yet I do experience the marketing campaign mode for MW2 is extremely stable. The storyline incorporates on from the previous cutting-side conflict and it ties up loose ends. It grow to be a physically powerful length and enjoyed it a lot. and that i additionally think of the the multiplayer mode is marvelous! in no way performed a interest like it, tremendously now by way of fact the hot Stimulus Map %. is out on Xbox.
