I'm trying to get started with weight watchers, and today was my first day. I'm STARVING, and I noticed some problems I've had.

First off, I don't actually have the books or anything. My friend is supposed to sign up for WW online so we can get the info online for a month (and print it out). However, he still hasn't gotten it. The only resource I have for calculating point values is http://www.webmilhouse.com/pointcalc.php, and I'm not sure how accurate and/or up-to-date it is.

Also, I heard that it's best to eat before 7 (is that true?) Today my parents came home late and just cooked dinner just before 10. I had already eaten hours before. My dad also buys a lot of hot dogs and hamburgers, or we go to buffets and get chinese. It's the same things constantly, and I can't do anything about it. How to I stick with a plan if my parents interfere with late night and greasy foods?

TV dinners are for quick meals only...otherwise they're my mom's. And we don't have the money to let me buy my own special food for meals, and I certainly don't have my own money.

I can't help you with the points situation, but here are some other ideas.
Try buying some frozen healthy meals, such as Lean Cuisines, or Healthy Choice for the nights when your parents cook late. Eating late is bad because your body doesn't have the chance to burn the fuel you're consuming, since you're sitting around and going to bed.

As for the restaurants, there are plenty of healthy choices at a buffet. There are usually steamed veggies, lean protiens, and salads to choose from. You just have to fight the temptation of going for the high calorie, greasy stuff. Try bringing your own lowfat salad dressings with you, so you don't have to use thier full fat versions. Also, ask your dad to pick up a package of ground turkey for you, portion it out, and freeze it, so on burger night, you can eat with your family, but it will be a healthier option.

Have you heard of Herbalife? They have a great weight loss plan for people who are serious about loosing weight. They have a shake and supplement diet that works great if you stick to the plan and you will see results the first month. If your just looking for a supplement that you can take you need to try the Total Control. Anyway if you go to mydiet4u.com you can put in your information and someone will call you and tell you about there product line and the sample pack that you could get for free just having to pay for shipping or you can just start on the products. THey have a 30 money back guarantee so you can lose. Anyway I would recommend that you registar on that site and you can also check out there product website at www.hugenutritionmall.com and look at there shapeworks programs. You dont have to buy the kit but thats what I did and the stuff works great and you can loose 15 to 30 lbs in one month. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

That is an excessively hard query. And your and your husband will have to take a seat down and significantly suppose which one is extra major. Surprising the complete household and potentially hurting your in-legislation, or telling them first then sudden the leisure. In my sincere opinion I could invite the rents over for a pre-great bowl dinner & permit my son put on his blouse then. I could properly ask them to not permit the cat out of the bag, and tell them approximately the plans your short of to make at their great bowl Sunday. Good good fortune to you hun && congrats to your being pregnant!

Hmm what a dilema..!

Ok first off we must consider some fact and understand..
Its hard at times to goto work and come home and cook and take the little time we have left to enjoy ourselves with those whom we love and so we take the easy way out and go to a take out or just get some hotdogs or burgers.. you see it would be great if one off them stayed at home all day washing and cleaning and have time to prepare a wholesome meal for you when you got in.. but alas this is not to be you see they love you and want to give you a better lifestyle than they had when they were as young and so dont put too much blame as they do not see..

Which leads me to my second thing..

Are you realy fat and over weight or are you just health concious and dont want to eat all that stuff..?
If you are over weight then they must be able to see and so sit down with mum and explain to her your aspirations and sit down and tell her about what you feel are the causes and try to reach some sort of understanding...
I must say I do feel you are somehow very health concious but on the other hand if you are not realy over weight then either way get down to the gym and get lean.. try going every other day as going every day achieves little appart from too much muscle ache and at the same time you could try the vegitarian option ..as I do think this will help either way but ensure you have a balanced intake of Protein and mineralls ...try cooking a meal for everyone to eat and see if you can bring a little light to their busy lifes (check out the Organic Tofu) sold at Tescos its very good as an alternative to meat.. but needs some carefull flavourings.. maybe use a bit of veg oil with it and coat it in some marigold Swiss Vegetable Boullion (also at Tescos) and bake it with vegetables and pots in the oven comes out realy nice or try doin a stir fry with teriyaki source and hay you may even sway them.. but dont try goin vegan as it is not good for anyones body as far as i am concerned.. and because you are young puting yourself on some sort of silly diet I fear could have adverse affects on your mentall health and your body ..get down to the library and check out some of the cookery books.. you may even find it takes away the pressure off thinking about what theyre goin to eat when they get in.. all you need to do is heat it up a bit for them ..but Truly I say to you becarefull you dont become obsessed as many others doo.. ps check out the Yahoo answers under cooking youre bound to get some good ideas...

The other point I must stress is yes it is important to eat at regular times of the day and as this is difficult for you then try picking at some food when they do turn up .. they will probably get the message that making you eat too late doesnt agree with you but do talk to them about it as i am sure they will understand esp mum..

Love Always
