I have the same kind of hair!. You can make a french twist. Gather it into a low ponytail and twist it up . It will lay against your scalp but still be full. Hold it in place by anchoring it with the bobby pins. IT is a very chic and elegant look. Plus its sexy to see the nape of your neck. It will also keep you cool because the hair is off your neck!! Good luck

The messy do. I dont know how to give instructions or anything, its just something i always did. Just start at the top and start pinning like crazy(small to medium chunks of hair, not too much in the chunk because you want to layer a bunch of them), you might have to do it a couple times to get your "look", just experiment, with longer hair, you might have to twist a little before you pin, so there isnt too much hair poofing up the bottom.

1] divide hair into fourths, from middle of right eyebrow to left back of neck tendon; and fron middle of left eyebrow to right back of neck tendon.
2] pull 'top' fourth of hair back, and twist until it starts to coil around, making a chignon. Pin in place.
3] pull rear fourth of hair up and into a twist to coil, pinning under first chignon.
4] repeat with right and left sides
5] this will take practice to get the 'fourths' even.
6] use lots of bobby pins, and lots of hair spray!
This looks great for an updo if you have the time and patience to do it properly.
