What I really want to know, is, which one of you knocked on Prince's door and got him to start a bible study, also, now that he is one of you, does he play his guitar for the Theocratic Ministry School?

I am concerned that Prince may have to change the wording to some of his music, Like on "Face Down" where he says something about a young man's lineage and sexual intercourse with close members of his family. Hmm, maybe I can send these to the WBTS in new york and they can whitewash them for me.

I think it's wonderful that he has such an open mind! He's always been spiritual, but seemed to have no real direction... until Larry Graham, who is also a Witness, came along. Perhaps that's who conducted a Bible study with Prince... however it happened, I'm glad for it.

EDIT: Oh, and most Kingdom Halls in the US don't have ANY live music. We sing along to CD's which have our songs on them.

First, you must understand that nobody is allowed to simply decide at the knock on the door, to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses. A person may become one of Jehovah's Witnesses only after months or even years of learning what the Bible really says. If after doing that a person chooses to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses, then he must be able to correctly answer 120 questions about what the Bible says. The Bible is after all our one and only textbook. Even Prince had to do this in order to become one of us, AND he had to make his own decision. As you can see, we actually put certain obstacles to becoming one of us. A person must want to be one of us and overcome the obstacles to be one of us.
As to your second question, no, Prince does not play the guitar at any of our meetings. Our meetings are solemn and serious, designed to learn. The same program is held at all meetings all around the world in approximately 9500 congregations. No other religious organization can say that.
Our music is orchestrated on discs and shipped to all congregations for their usage in meetings. The music is done professionally, but we do everything anonymously, too. Many professional musicians are Jehovah's Witnesses, but in most cases, you would never know it.

We don´t play guitars in kingdom hall our meeting as you may know are quiets and basically are schools to learn about God´s purpose, Prince is not Jehovah´s witness why? simple cause he is not preaching God´s kingdom as Jesus command in Matthew 24:14.

He renounced them recently...

Couldn't get very many takers...

Maybe if he offered free "Darling Nikki" singles with every pamphlet...

Ah! The benefit of Hindsight...shucks...

I don't think he is one anymore. I don't think the holy j'dubs look favorably upon his recent divorce.
Just as well - I liked him better the other way anyway.

I'm not 100% sure but I think his mother was a JWs. She asked him to become one before she died.
