nowhere near as many people that have been killed by Christian extremists.

With the exception of the Crusades, there have been no religious killings by Christians to get the world ruled by Christianity. Northern Ireland conflict was based on differences in politics rather than religions. Check out the Koran and you see lot of killing and fighting in it, that probably the reason why Muslims so easily get hallucinated about some 72-virgin heaven promised. Check out the site below. Many articles there are very interesting and unbiased, in my opinion.

killing innocent people from any where disgusts me. but also how about the world war I & II? killing native americans? Hiroshima? victims of Iraqi war? Mafia organization? KKK? slavery? crusaders?
