i tend to care too much

I'm really not sure how to answer that. Everyone is, in
a sense, related--in that we're all human beings; and,
if you look at it that way, it somewhat nullifies the
meaning of the word "stranger."
If I see someone I don't recognize, perhaps I've never
seen them before in my life. Then again... How can I be
sure of that? And does that mean that I should not at
least give them a smile and say "Hi. How are you?"
I think not.

Yeah. I think it is fun to meet strangers, but then they aren't strangers anymore, are they? Anyway, it's always nice to meet new and different people...it can be very interesting. It's also a great opportunity to help people, which I love to do.

Not sure what you mean when you say "care for", but I usually like most people that I meet....strangers can be very nice.

Not really. Unless they look really downtrodden or depressed then I might feel sorry for them. But I'm hardly a good Samaritan.
