Try using a warm damp cloth on it...as warm as you can stand, but be careful not to burn sensitive skin. Does it have a head on it? Using the warm compress may make it come to a head and rupture. good luck. I personally would wash my hands and knead or squeeze gently around it also, but I know that may cause a more pain than some are willing to endure.

Not to be gross but do you shave the area that its on? It could be an ingrown hair even if you dont shave/wax. Does it swell up then go back down? You might ask a doctor to look at it. Dont be embarrassed that is what doctors are for.

i've had something similiar...Don't ever use any soap with perfumes or powder. I keep 2 bars of soap, one for my private area and one for the not so sensitive zones. Use dove unscented, keep yourself dry and only cotton brief underwear. No fancy thongs or silk panties. See how that goes and call your doctor. Look on webmd.com and that may give you some more info...
