If you want to purchase it you can go to microsoft.com and download it. You cannot download it for free legally.
If you must, put the wordpad document on your flash drive, the copy and paste it into word at school, then print it out there.

I dont get why you cant print from word pad or notepad?
If you have standard PCs at school they should have at least one of those programs.
If you use notepad, make sure you save the file with a .txt at the end... if you use wordpad save it with a .rtf or .txt on the end.
Failing that, are you able to convert your homework to a PDF file? All computers should be able to open pdf files.
If that doesnt work, how bout asking a teacher to help you print it out?
Or borrow a friends computer that has Word?
Or use the library computer?

Word isn't free. You can save your hw in wordpad and open it in Word at school.
Microsoft was offering a 30 day trial for MS Office 2007, which would include word. You could go to microsoft.com and see if they are still doing that.

Microsoft word costs money: $100-300 depending on what edition you want. Try openoffice.org , it's a free alternative that does basically the exact same thing and can open and use microsoft word documents.

You could try to download it off of a P2P program like LimeWire or something like that, but it will be illegal. You have to buy that program. You could also try to use a program called Open Office, but I do not know how to transfer the Word Document over to that, I dunno if it will. but If you want to try that go to OpenOffice.org
