If I left you on an island with nothing but one of two books; a copy of the Bible, or a copy of the Satanic Bible; you may only pick one or the other, which would you pick? [[If you wish, you may choose to accept neither.]]

Babsa--Heh. I'm not exactly a Christian. I'm a Satanist.

PLEASE NOTE: The Satanic Bible is NOT in regards to theistic Satanism. No "Satan" is involved; LaVeyan Satanism is atheistic.

Well, being an avid reader, I would read both of them. If I was truly stranded, I would probably read them multiple times.
I have read the bible and have a good working knowledge of it. That doesn't mean I believe the holiness of it nor ascribe to it's tenents. It is a good history book - if somewhat slanted - and has some good stories.
Oh, and, I am an atheist.

My first instinct is to choose neither because I believe in neither god nor satan BUT I would like something to read while I'm hanging out on this island. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Satanic Bible and the idea just seems completely silly so I would not choose the path of Satan. I guess I would have to take the good old "Bible". I hear there's a lot of smut in those stories... very entertaining, right? It's based on true history and real places, right? I've always been interested in history. Also I could probably spend a lot of time just trying to understand how a woman was created with the rib of a man... Am I thinking of the right book?

Well, I've already read the Bible more than once (I know what it says), so if I was stuck on an island then I'd probably pick the Satanic Bible just because it'll be something new. (Stave off the boredom a little bit longer.)

The Satanic Bible is funnier, and in that way is a better read. But you could read it several times over and get bored with it in the same time it would take you to read the Bible once. So I guess, for the sake of having a distraction, I would take the Bible. I would say 'neither' on principle, but I like to read.

I am not familiar enough with the Satanic bible to make an educated choice. The bible wouldn't be a bad book to have, though. There is a lot of decent poetry. The stories are interesting. I would probably pick it up from time to time.

I was unaware there was a Satanic Bible.
I would choose the regular Bible...I suppose I could call it lol
Just because I have read it before and, even though I don't follow it, I like the stories in them. Great metaphors.
But then again, I have never read a Satanic Bible so it would be a whole new experience.
Hmm...I dunno lol Maybe the Satanic one just because I wanna see what they have to say.
Good question.

I have already read the Bible, a good fictional story. I would be curious to read the Satanic Bible.
Unless, I had a volleyball to talk to. In that case, I would choose neither.

I would pick the Satanic one since I have read a lot of the Bible already, unless it's kind of thin, then I would pick the regular one.

Well I wouldnt pick the Bible because I dont believe in God, and I wouldnt pick the Satanic Bible because Satan believes in God. I would leave both on the shelf.
