ask them for a tattoo so a piercing will seem less severe. lol or dont tell them at all and just get one and hide it forever.

DO NOT GET IT IF YOU'RE UNDER 18!
Im not saying this because you need to be of "legal" age. Im saying this because you can actually get a scar running from your abdomen up. This is caused when someone gets a belly button ring too early and they continue to grow. The growing, along with the ring, COULD cause a scar. It's best to wait until you are done growing.

My parents are really uptight but I asked them if I could get my hair dyed and now it is.
Don't give them too little credit. Just go for the one that'll be the most understanding. My mom was the one that talked my dad into it. xDD Haha.
Or start wearing midriffs before school and draw little fake belly button piercings on it and they might take the hint. ;D
Good luck.

if you're under 18 you are going to have to tell your parents. You cannot legally put a piercing in your body without your parent's permission until you are 18 years of age.

Just ask them first and if they say yes then that was extremely easy but if they say no then wait a few months and get it done in the winter, so your parents won't see your belly because it would be covered up. Then, by summertime when you start swimming and such, you'll be able to take it out and put it back in regularly.
That's what I'm going to do. :)

If you're old enough to be making your own decisions (18) then no, you're an adult and can do as you please. However if you're under the age of 18 you can't get a piercing w/out your legal guardians consent. Eventually they're going to see it, so if they don't like them be ready for them to get pissed.
p.s. If you're not old enough to get a piercing w/parental permission, please do NOT do it yourself!!!! You'll end up w/a whole heap of problems!

haha i just got mine done at the end of june. def tell em. i was considering doing it without their permission, but for one thing, most places don't let you do it unless your with a parent or guardian, and 2 you want to find a really clean place, so def have your mom or dad pick it outt. you can get so many gross infections and diseases from dirty tatoo parlors that don't clean their stuff.
good luckkk:]

i would tell them becaue if you hide it for so long and they will eventually find out. and why keep a secret from them. you really don't wanna know how young i am to be saying this because i am really too young to get a belly button pirecing. trust me. so just do the right thing and tell them. and if they say no just deal with it. you'll hae another chance when you get older.

Ya might want to just skip the peircing, it will save you lots of headaches later. Why **** them off, it's only going to come back at YOU in the form of some sort of weird punishment that probably won't fit the crime.

Girl no you shouldn't have to because getting piercings on your body is a sin except on your ears. This is a bad thing and if you do it remember what I'm saying and see what dawns on you later in your life.
