Jesus was obviously a man who changed civilization in his lifetime. He was a rebel and was a man of the people. He was born into a time where many people were suffering terrible deprivation at the hands of those in power.... He gave them courage.
It's clear he made his mark - he is still talked about today and the changes he brought about are with us today.
But, he was not a god, nor the son of a god... He was just a unique human being like many others before and after him.

Humble, patient, forgiving, loving, God, human, and now: "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord". People only think of the loving side of The Lord, and that will never go away, not even to the end of time. The Lord will always have compassion for his people.
However, if you read The Book of Revelations, you will see the warrior Christ, and the vengeful Christ, who comes to avenge "the blood of the saints", as well as his own blood and that of all Christians murdered and persecuted for their beliefs.

Jesus changed people's minds about God, death, heaven, and the validity of the eternal soul

John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

Jesus Christ is God-The Son/The Son of God incarnate. Jesus Christ is both distinctly True God and True Man in one divine person. Jesus Christ is our Lord, redeemer, savior, friend, Bride, life, etc. etc!!
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:15-16

He was probably a pretty outgoing and fun guy, enough so to make him so popular that so many people would follow him and believe him to be their god even to this day.
