I am a used car dealer, and I buy cars from people all the time! I base my prices on what comparable vehicles are selling for at dealer auctions, and adjust that figure to take into account mileage and condition!
A dealer will pay wholesale price for your car. It would make no sense for me to pay you more for the car than I can buy the same car for at the auction!
Take your car to a dealer (or a place like Carmax) and see what they offer you, This will tell you what your car is worth today (wholesale). Then you can decide if it is worth the effort and time to sell the car yourself retail!
Good Luck!

A used car dealer is in the business to make money.
Buy low sell high. They will probably offer about half of what it is worth.
Your best bet is to place an ad in your local paper. Or park it in a location where a lot of people can see it, with a "for sale" sign on it.
You need to find out what it is worth.
Most banks will give you can get a Blue Book quote.
Then you can sell it for what ever you can get out of it.
Good luck!!!

hey buy cars yes! But from a auction for a very cheap rate. Then they make the car refurbished and make it resell again. Also, they add value to the car but the profit is always excess. But still there are some good dealres, you can check used cars in hollywood fl market for cool deals.

They will buy it, but, they can not give you what it worth. They sell it for what it worth. A friend of mine, his dad has a car lot. Years ago, I had a Buick Century station wagon. I had bought a new used truck and wanted to just get rid of the car without a lot of hassle. So, I ask what the man give me. He said; "I will tell you what it worth and what I can give you". That seemed fair, so, I not feel I got taken. He said the car was worth $1,800 and he could give me $400.

They buy cars, but they will only give you the wholesale price. If it is a late model then they may keep it on the lot, if it is older, then it will be sent to an auction.
good luck.

Its his vehicle, he could make his possess regulations. Its no longer unlawful to promote a vehicle with dangerous brakes and its no longer unlawful to require a purchaser to shop for a vehicle earlier than you repair whatever. Just stroll away if you do not desire the vehicle at the phrases provided. Personally, I would not pay for a vehicle except and till I used to be definite the brakes have been constant accurately. I have offered a quantity of autos with small "disorders" that I might no longer repair except the purchaser desired them constant and used to be going to shop for the vehicle and left a non-refundable deposit for me to get the article constant. I as soon as offered a honda with a CV joint creating a noise so dangerous I truthfully did not believe the vehicle might make it one other two weeks. And protected myself through making the purchaser conform to get the vehicle constant. She certainly not did and the vehicle lasted 6 months earlier than it stop. She wasn't mad, actually, she known as & provided to promote the vehicle again to me for the identical fee the junkyard provided her. (It used to be a $850 vehicle and she or he figured she bought her moneys valued at out of it, and I paid her $a hundred and fifty for it after it tore up at the facet of the avenue)
