I'm curious just how he thinks it would harm him.

The only problem I can think of with sex during menstruation is that it's more messy than usual. Period. (Pardon the pun.)

Maybe fear of blood-borne disease? Should be using condoms anyway, if disease is a concern -- and good idea for birth control, too. And generally disease should be a concern regardless -- a lot of people have discovered they had something incurable, after their partner told them they were clean and "we don't need to use a condom".

I have heard men say that in some cases the menstrual fluid can be an irritant to the head of the penis, especially if it isn't washed away immediately. Other than that, I doubt that there is any harm that can come from it. I have had sex while menstruating, and other than it being kind of gross looking (and odoriferous) when it's over, my partner had no adverse affects.

I'm thinking illllll why you just can't wait until the right time. But I do not believe that he will be hurt it's just our body cleansing when our egg does not get fertilized. It's the lining that would have come out later as a baby. I think I explained that right. If there are any doctors out there how did I do.

It will do him no harm. Can't say the same for the sheets though. Try cold salty water on them to remove the mess. Oh and he could have a shower with soap after

Besides the possible sloppiness it implies there is no physical danger to either of you! As a matter of fact women are more excitable during their period. If he can past the blood he may encounter and you don't mind, go ahead try it!. You might like it!

No it will not harm him unless he is deathly allergic reaction to blood, which is unlikely since I am sure he has blood.

From personal experience, it is no big deal, but that is personal preference, he probably just thinks it is a gross idea. Talk to him about it.
