A job description would be the duties of a particular position. A job outlook is consideration of how that position contributes to the company's mission statement. Not only would this include a summary of maintaining the job description, it would also provide an update of current short term, intermediate and long term goals.
While this is primarily used to coordinate inter-department cooperation and efficiency, a regularly revised outlook can be a valuable adjunct to performance reviews. Also, it is a readily available resource to objectively validate your continued performance. Good Luck.

Job description is the list of tasks the applicant must be able to perform .
I thought job outlook related to whether it was short term , long term , part-time , temp , permanent . . .
Whether hiring was increasing or decreasing in that field . . .
Those kind of things , not positive tho on this one .
