life is painful, and most people serve their boss just for a bit of hapiness in the evening and on the weekend, I don't want my life to go in that way, but I've heard many philosophies, and i want to clearly know why I have come/was sent here in the first place, and how i can get free of all my problems. thanks -Gary

I don't know if it is possible for you to do it, but a first step would be to move from the city. Get a small piece of land and start doing the things YOU enjoy. That is what I have done. A small woodshop, a garden year round, a few animals and my buddy Mooney.

...being corporeal is not a calamity; nor is matter evil. Pain also is not evil per se; pain is vital feedback for living creatures. Happiness in my opinion is shallow; joy is deep, and there's no real joy without growth, compassion, and awareness of suffering.

You, like all the rest of us, are here to become aware and responsible for yourself, and to become compassionate.

The next step is to learn the subtlety of evil (opposite of good) the human "mind" engenders. To destroy evil, one must know what the face of evil looks like. Then reject every lie. Your freedom will arrive. This is life's work.
