I have to print out 57 place cards for a Surprise party this Saturday for my husband's 60th birthday. I am at my wit's end. I have to do this quickly and sneakily so my husband doesn't know. Please, computer gurus, help me!

Use Word Mail merge, baby.
:)

1. Open Word.
2. Choose Tools-->Mail merge (or something similar depending on your version, which you don't tell us).
3. Choose to make "labels".
4. Choose the place cards template, which should be available there in the labels list, even though it's not labels.
5. Choose your Excel file according to these instructions....

If it's Word 2002 (XP), use these instructions:

If it's Word 2003, use these instructions:

I hope this helps!

To get a little more input on how to export/merge data from Excel to Word you can search Excel Help for "address labels". Since you probably have some kind of data table in Excel for your 57 people you should be able to move this info to Word.
Once in Word you can now probably find some kind of Avery lable to use for the place cards.
