I mean how would they know if I was Jesus or not. Would history repeat itself?

Yes---history would repeat itself--even though Christ predicted there would be others who would do greater things than he did--& you will know them by their fruits--many Christians believe that the Anti-Christ will perform miracles to fool people--so they would attempt to kill him/her.

Well, to be quite honest, we WOULD know if you were Jesus or not. We're not ignorant (no offense) and we read and study the bible alot, and in it, clearly states that the return of Jesus Christ will be huge and all eye willl see him. Nobody knows when he will come but the bible does say he will NOT set foot on ground. :] And as for the "history repeating itself"...I'm pretty sure it does (and it will). Oh and nah...we would not persecute you, we would just not believe you.

You need to read The Messiah of Morris Avenue by Tony Hendra. The book is based on this premise. I won't give away the plot, but I'll tell you that you won't be disappointed. I just reread it. You can read about it here:

My favorite quote from the book is:
"If it makes you have contempt for others; for an enemy, for the poor, for the rich, for the helpless, for the different. It's not God you're worshiping, it's your own pathetic projection of omnipotence. But God is; the enemy, the poor, the rich, the helpless, the different. God is the other. All evil begins with this belief; that another's existence is less precious than mine." I think that sums it up nicely.

Christians didn't persecute Jesus to begin with so how would that repeat history?

Of course most of them would because they have preconceived ideas of Jesus that are not real. They think Jesus will accept anything anyone wants to believe and they will be ok. That is not what Jesus said while here and He does not change.

I realize you did NOT say Jesus is coming back to live here. You only gave a hypothetical and everyone is trying to crucify you. I am sorry, I took it as "Would people today that claim to be Christian not believe Him" not saying He is or will come to live here again.

Jesus you are not.
Judas a follower of Jesus; Christian, denied Him.
Thomas ;doubted Him
Peter; denied Him
When my Lord hung on the cross, most of His Followers fled.
Believe what you will,
I believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.

Is this how you came to earth?????

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen". Revelation 1:7
"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" Revelation 6:15-17

I din't think so!!!!

You'll be okay as long as you are white, male, Protestant, well-shaved, wearing a Brooks Brothers blazer, and speak American English, vote Republican, hate gays, Jews, Muslims, Hispanics, and liberals, home-school your kids, tell a homeless man who asks for a quarter to go get a job, and harbor an everlasting fear of women.

If you came on the clouds, like lightening flashing from the east to the west, you would be Jesus.

I take it that didn't happen for you, so I don't believe in you.
