My x-bf is asking me to get back together with him. Knowing he has told me he doesn't really like being with me, that he also wants to be with other women, and still wants but he feels he SHOULD be with me, cause 'i'm his', kind of like with the dog he has, it isn't at all what he would want in a dog, but it's his dog. I tell him i can't do that because i don't want to be a nuisance for anybody, much less my partner. And it does show that he's not comfortable with me in lots of things. This is making me miserable, i have told him that.
Now he's calling me saying, c'mon, stop being such a child, get back together with me already. Just say yes, be good, and voila. But the problem is not me being 'bad'... what should i do? say to him? What does it take to make him understand that if he wants to be with me he should want it all the time? That it's unfair to ask me to be with him while offering saying/acting otherwise as soon as he feels like it?

He wants to "have his cake and eat it to". You sound like you really do not want to get back together with him because he makes you feel "less than". I would move on and tell him to move on. Do not take is phone calls anymore and he'll move on.

tell him he is the dog --- throw him out of your life and find someone that cares for the person you are and does not want to be with anyone else
