OK Joey is out right now doing what cats do. I am assuming he is a Tom Cat which means he is on the prowl looking for a female that is in heat. Cats roam at night and can stay gone days at a time and then come home. I had a really mean uncle who took kittens about an hours drive out in the country, and dumped them in the woods, 3 days later they were all back. Cats have an amazing sense of direction. Don 't worry

If Joey is now neutered, he has run off tom cat, that means to look for a female. Some can be gone for days or weeks at a time. At some time, he will come home.

You've done all that you can do. Were they licensed or micro-chipped. Possibly tattooed? Those things should be on your fliers. Unfortunately cats have their own state of mind and a female on the other block could have caught his interest for now. as long as no one locks him up in their home, he'll come home!

i had a Simba,Poof, and Hopper. Poof was a very good hunter she was always disappearing from time to time for around 3 days and she had me so scared i use to call out until i tore up my vocal chords , but she was home on her own time.Simba got killed/run over .. she was my favorite, my ex found her on the road or so he claims and threw her in a field ;so i made him go get her so i could bury her in the yard near the house to know she was close by. i couldn't stop crying until he did.Hope your cat shows up alive and well.

I sure hope you find Joey... I hope he is just cattin around with a girlfriend...... good luck... My sister in law lost her cat Floyd. He was the sweetest cat on the planet. She had him 7 years and one day he just disappeard..... We miss him and we still hope he comes home....He's been gone for 6 months, but she still checks the animal shelter. Just keep checking b/c sometimes male cats tend to wander off in search of girlfriends....
