Ohhhhh I know what you mean, But whats worse I always get into the wrong lineup even if I pick the one with the last people in it, the person just in front of me will have issues, and I watch in frustration the longest line moving right along without a bother.
God give me patience. But be quick about it.

Yes, there should be. I'm a slower walker. It intimidates me to walk in an area with faster walkers because I know I slow them down getting in their way. The usual rule is slower to the right. If I walk to the right, I pass people. Since all fast walkers don't walk at the same rate, just like all slow walkers don't, it's impossible to classify many of them. Too slow for the fast, too fast for the slow? That's where I belong. Maybe we should have an in between lane too :)

i think this moght be a nice idea. particularly as elderly and disabled people have a tough time getting about. i try to let those slower than be pass by the shop window as they may like to browse. but i think there is generally a lack of social awareness in people. so many use headphones and then bump into others or stop suddenly. i think traffic wardens should be wardening pedestrians and jay walking should be fined in the UK. people who cross when the lights change for the traffic to go are a real pest.

Whenever I get annoyed by petty things like this, I think 2 things. 1) Why am I in such a hurry to begin with? Oh no! Did I just waste 14 seconds of my oh-so-important life? Big deal! And 2) Thank God I don't have a real problem to worry about.

I am with you. I have been known to meander on rare occasions, but usually not, and yes, some (of all ages, not only older persons) move along like mammoths looking for their last supper.
I wished I had something to make a loud noise, like an old-fashioned bell on a fire brigade wagon. Anything to get their attention!

I think that feeling is shared by many. There is nothing worse than when you are in a hurry to get somewhere and are blocked by people who stand in your way. But on the other hand, I'm sure we have gotten in the way of others when they were in a hurry. hmmmm.

I agree with you there, And what about people that just walk right out of a shop door and walk right into you. Sometimes i think people think that they are the only people in the world and dont see others.

Depends if they're doing it on purpose because they're too ignorant to move out of the way. If they're not, you should be more tolerant. I hate people who walk right up behind me, like they're almost pushing me.
People like Dragon - if you bump into someone when they stop suddenly, you are too close. You can't just assume that the pavement is clear and nothing will happen. Open your mind.

i think it is a general rule or courtesy to just move to the other side say like if you are walking in a sidewalk.. they would be closer to the buildings while the faster walkers go to the middle and like in the staircase they would be by the railing while you go around. but yea not many follow that

Yes I agree with you. I also find it annoying when someone walks right in my path and I have to dodge round them, and also those people who suddenly STOP dead if front of me causing to have to again suddenly move to avoid bump-ping into them.
