That is what makes something so desirable, because it is a challenge to try and get it. It is certainly not the item or person in question, because one it is obtained, it is no longer that desirable.

Pride. It's pretty much the root of everything if you think about it. We want what we can't have because we always crave for something better, we always aim high, and most of the times a little too high.

It's the natural human urge to experience the yet unexperienced, to have access to what we have not accessed before. The eternal desire to venture into the unknown and make it known.

It's normal; it's called "Human Nature", because we always want what we can't have in some people that causes them to strive harder to achieve what they want but don't already have, if and when they succeed they're known as "Rich People".

Because we know we can't have it, and it makes the challenge of trying to get it that much more satisfying. I guess we all have this hope that maybe one day we'll get lucky and actually win. That maybe we can have it.
