When I was a kid I wanted to be a nun, even though I didn't believe in any religion. I just admired the essence of it all- devoting yourself to something so completely, and striving to be so good. But now I'd rather be a priestess, as I've become Pagan. ^_^ Cheers!

Thankfully, primitive laws have been left in the bronze age and atheists aren't being murdered anymore.
"They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman." (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)
I believe they hate our sins, not us... just like I hate Christianity, but not it's followers.

Ummm... I never heard of an atheist who wanted to be a nun... That would be really weird, you're right.

Depends on the people in the convent. I thought about entering a Buddhist monastary just to 'get away from it all' but I think they want you to shave your head. I'm not really sure-haven't seriously looked into it but if they do, yeah, right.

Mother Teresa was no atheist or agnostic and she had stronger faith than i have,i fear, that could get her through decades of feelings of Divine Darkness. She was a great Catholic Christian and is now a great saint and inspiration. Would that all people with struggles and depression would love as concretely as she did!

There is no athiest who would want to be a nun. Mother Theresa doubted her faith at times because of the pain and misery she saw, but she remained faithful and true to God, by her spoken words and her actions.
