I've found some facts about the Joley name if you are interested. According to Ancestry.com, Joleys entering the United States came from the following points of origin: Ireland (8), Great Britain (5), England (3), and Finland (1).
Within England itself at the end of the 19th century, 43 percent of all Joleys came from Lancashire, 27 percent were from Warwickshire, 27 percent lived in London, and 3 percent hailed from Northampshire.
According to the 1920 US Census, Joleys also lived in the following states in descending order: New York, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and California, and 5 percent each): Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Georgia. More Joleys immigrated to the US in 1870 than any other year.
