I'm 18 Years Old and i need to lose 200 pounds. . I weigh in at about 360 Pounds, and I just realized if i continue the path i'm going, my life will be shorter than it already is. I'm 5'8" Male, my Waist Size is 52, and boy do I wish to at least lose about 3 pant sizes. Due to my oversized self, i have trouble finding clothes at the store, and since I've always been big, I never found anyone special(girlfriend). I dont want anyone to feel bad for me, but i'm about to shed tears as I'm writing this. I'm asking this question to see if there is anyone with any resources that can help me lose this wretched curse of obesity. Some of you may have a hard time of believing this story, but it is all fact.I just want to feel like others do... I want to feel something I have never felt before.. The Feeling of being that "Average" person. I want to be able to go somewhere and not be starred at... the feeling of going to a store, and finding that cool shirt in my size. I just want to find somone special..

Hey big joe, I feel exactly what you are saying. Just 3 months ago I weighed in at 354 lbs and I felt like I was headed for an early grave. I had people telling me left and right that I needed to change but it never phased me. I felt like I was in a hole too deep to get out. My answer was a complete life change...I picked something other than my weight that made me extremely unhappy and I ended it. It gave me the little personal boost that I needed to gett off my butt and work for what I wanted. I bought the Alli pills after hearing that they worked and I started really sticking to low fat meals and exercising every morning. I will honestly tell you that it was the hardest for the first two weeks then all of a sudden it was like a button clicked and I started to feel great and had no desire to cheat myself. I am currently weighing in at 315 lbs and feeling absolutely great. Its a long hard journey and thats the first fact that you must cope with and accept. At the same time the journey is extremely rewarding and as you see the weight going down it makes you even more determined. Secondly it is a lifestyle change not just a diet for a few months so put your mind on changing the rest of your life not just the next few months. Keep your chin up and remember the most important rule of all...If they cant accept you the way you are now, they will not accept you as an "average person" because there are many ignorant people in the world that dont feel what we feel, but there are many amazing people that help you change your life, surround yourself with these positive people and ditch the ones who dont care. I will pray for you man and much luck on your journey to health and happiness.

Mad determination pretty much has it right. Personally, I have lost 100+ pounds since last December. I weighed in at 275 at that time and I am down to 174 now. I need to get down to 125 according to my Doctor. Be comforted to know that males, especially young ones like yourself can lose weight faster than females. It is gonna take alot of determination and it will be a battle but it can be done. Not over night mind you and it will be hard but it isn't impossible. Get to a doctor and really talk to them about yourself and ask for help in no uncertain terms. You have the strength to do this. Good Luck and stay strong friend......Crone

Go to your doctor or a certified dietitian to start a wellness plan that includes a proper diet and exercise. They can tell you what to do but its up to you to do it. Consider joining a support group (like OA as mentioned) or something along the lines of Weight Watchers.

There is the simple answer...eating healthy and exercise.
I know it can be difficult though,so I can suggest some medication and you can go to your doctor to check if this medication is suitable for you.
E-mail me cause I wouldn't want people who have 20 pounds to lose to think this is the easy way.
My brother lost like 150 pounds on this medication.

Just don't give up hope. You are very young, and you have a lot of life to live. You can do it. But I would say you must get medical advice.

Wow, man that's a lot.
Just eat subway or salads and
EXCERSIZE

See what happens.
Also, eat Fiber One cereal for breakfast.
Fiber helps you loose weight.
40 grams of fiber per day.

please see a mental health professional and your doctor... there's help in those two places. yes, you can loose it safely, might be slower than you'd like... but it can be done.

also please find a local OA ( overeaters annonymous) group in your area @ oa.org
