& how long after dating should you get engaged, & how long after being engaged should you get married? Sometimes people say it's not good to move too fast in a relationship, but I've heard how happily married couples have gotten engaged off 1st sight.

Take it easy...learn more about the person. Make sure they are for real. Make sure this relationship is a good one, first. Make sure they are not illegal, or a serial killer, or a thief, or a predator. That takes time, my Dear....and then when one is self assured GO FOR IT! ;)

There is never a definite time period to date , however, I always tell people, never date anyone you can't marry except you are not in the relationtionship for marriage, that way you get engaged when you have convinced yourself that you can live with such a person then after getting engaged, you can get married anytime thereafter. If you want a small wedding, there is really no reason to wait, but if you want to have a large wedding, you may want to take some time to save and get everything planned so you can have a wedding of your dreams, but whatever kind of wedding you want good planning is neccessary so allow yourself enough time to get everything together. there is no hard and fast rule in this regard, it differs from person to person depending on their nature its may so long to understand anybody and it may be too short time for anybody to understand others. it is true to no hasty in making relationship specially physical contacts. the married people are engaged in first sight as they know the truth that they are made for each other and hv to live long they doing an agreement to live together without undersanding and vow to live together till death.

I would date pretty quickly after meeting someone. As far as the rest, I believe most people know when it is right. I don't believe there is any set time.

well, its different with every relationship between two people. Sometimes it could take a really short time, others it may be longer and a more difficult path............ I think it really matters on how comfortable two people are between each other.
