That most of the ones that I have personally met are not bad people even though I personally do not agree with their beliefs and do not believe in Satan as an entity....

The only quarrel I have is mainly with the term - "satanist" is so often lumped together with "paganism" and "wicca" or witchcraft. Augh! (banging head against brick wall :) Not ! :)
Anton LaVay (formerly Herman Plotzdwarf, or something like that:) built his "religion" on mockeries of Christianity, with a little eclectic folk magic thrown in. Satanism is more Christian influenced than pagan.
There are aberrant fools in every religion, so as long as they're not inflicting anti-social or violent behaviour on anyone, each to his own. I am curious, though, what their rate of physical and/or mental illness is, statistically. The focus seems to be so awfully negative and sad.

Depends on the person and the particular type of Satanism. I've met a number of them who are intelligent, thoughtful, witty people with an interesting viewpoint, as well as a handful who are, sadly, poor representations.

I think satanists are atheists with a bondage fetish and little more. They simply like the idea of being shocking to Christians it seems, but they're really not all that shocking anymore. They're pretty tame, boring, and harmless. A product of the shameless self-promoter LaVey.

a satanist, devil worshipper or heathen does not exist. Why? because christians created them. Historically, Christians believed anything that isn't christian must be satanic...pretty foolish is you ask em

They take seriously what they believe. If only most Christians would take Jesus Christ as serious as Satanist take Satan.

It's a philosophy and way of life, not a worship of Satan as deity as God is Deity. No bigger deal to me than any other religion, really, whatever floats their boat as long as they don't intentionally hurt someone, which they don't!

loosers - I played "Diablo" :)
---------------------------------
but seriously - why would you want to serve someone who couldn't pass first level? - from Bible we know that satan lost first fight against god's army and that it was not even a fight....
---------------------------------
in a same time i feel sorry for them as they are being mislead :(.
Reminds me of story someone shared with me about Mario Murello (not sure about his last name).
He was preaching against satanists believes for some time. So, satanists got mad on him and started to do their thing that he dies.
One day Mario boards the plane, gets in his seat and all of the sudden girl next to him start shaking: "you are mario we were cursing". to make long story short (and not to confuse facts), girl got saved by the time they landed.

everyone need Jesus.
