You mean to say are sins of which we are not consciously aware greater than willful sins. For many commit sins of omission willfully.

Yes, they are lesser. For example it says, "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them." 2Peter 2:20,21

That's a rather extreme case of apostacy, but there are milder blind spots among the Christian community - typically things like remarriage after divorce and gluttony/obesity.

there are obviously some sins that are more grievous than others, by nature:

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23.

wages are what one works for.

for example, driving 5 mph over the speed limit in a community maybe illegal and therefore technically a "sin" but of course no way as henious as being a violent murderer.

Sin is sin. According to the Bible, we all need forgiveness and grace because of it, regardless of it's magnitude. It's only a matter of severity in man's eyes. I believe God recognizes sin as sin.

Depends on the intention...

(No, not all sins are equal. Taking your sister's doll away when you were 3 isn't the same as the time you stabbed a cashier while robbing the gaz-station...)

I spent all day thinking approximately this one and that's achievable to sin on your subconscious....Now if I asked you your telephone quantity, you will possibly provide it without even thinking approximately it....Our non secular existence desires to be so in track with God that the instantaneous we expect of an impure or sinful thought we pass back to the Lord and repent....We do it until eventually we "very own" that prepare (purely like we "very own" our telephone quantity) lots that even in our sleep we subconsciously do the will of God. it fairly is something that comes as we (myself lined) artwork at growing to be to be spiritually mature. The extra mature we are in the Lord, the fewer oftentimes we would be "conquer" by using our human nature because of the fact we've replaced it with the non secular nature. we would desire to make it the conventional habit no longer the unusual. it fairly is form of like pilots learn back and back what to do in an emergency until eventually it turns right into a habit and the instantaneous an emergency happens they understand precisely what they might desire to do and do it with no need to think of approximately it.
