I really eat a healthy diet (pretty much pescatarian as of late, lots of fruits, whole grains, oily fish, nuts, plant oils, veggies...no fast or processed foods on a regular basis) and yet, all of a sudden, out of the blue, I seem to be holding on to about 3-4 lbs this month!!! I am freaking out, because I think and feel like I look like a whale. I am a little over 5'10, and I *used* to weigh in at 136 lbs. Lately, I've been at 140!!

My belly is pretty much flat and I am in good physical shape, but I am obviously bloated, and I have no idea why. No upset stomach or nothing, and my period is over. I just had it last week, so I can't blame this on water retention, can I? If so, why now out of the blue? I am 27 years old.

I am about to become a full-blown vegetarian because I am afraid I am going to become a blimp. I know fat sneaks up on people. I am not trying to engage in a fad diet, but if anyone has tips to lose 5 lbs., I'd love to hear it. I do exercise daily.

Salt is usually the culprit when you bloat. But you need to drink more water everyday, yeah more water, to help with the bloat.
The other thing you should realize is that you are getting older and with age, your metabolism does slow down, even though you do exercise daily.
Check with your doctor first, but you can start taking a multivitamin that is made to help keep metabolism going.
Even if you do become a vegetarian, you still need a balanced diet with proteins, carbs, sugars, fiber, all that good stuff.

I can never find time to exercise unless I incorporate it into my day. I ride my bike to work instead of driving. it only takes 20 minutes longer and it saves money on gas. If I go to store I park way out to give me a longer walk. I learned that from my grandma. I try to use stairs instead of elevators. All the little things add up.

I think the reason so many people fail with diet and/or exercise is because they're trying to be the hare instead of the tortoise. The come up with some big plan and run run run to accomplish it, but the can't keep up that pace. So they stop all together until they get the next wake up call and start running again. Take it easy with diet and exercise and just make a moderate plan and keep a steady pace.

Since you have been eating well more than likely you are retaining water.

Try this: Squeeze one half of a fresh lemon (don't use lemon juice) into a glass of water and drink. If you start peeing within 30 minutes then you know that you have retained water and this will get rid of it.

To stop any further retention just up your water intake on the last day of your period and on any days that you eat salty foods like nuts.

Even at 140, for your height, you are perfect and you shouldn't be able to see 5 pounds difference unless it really is water.

Don't eat salty foods. They make you bloated as well.

Exercise a lot using a combination of strength and cardio. Don't just do one or the other.

Change up your diet. If you are gaining weight with what you currently eat, then maybe you are taking in more calories than you burn each day.

If you've been eating a lot of salty foods lately, you might be retaining water. Cut back on the salt (and you'll be surprised how much salt you eat without knowing it) and I bet you'll be back to 136 in a few weeks.

ok first, cutting out everything that your body TRUELY needs is NOT the answer! no sweat! just find your weakness. whether you love bread, or ice-cream, then cut back. Try snacking less and eating balanced meals on a smaller plate 4 times a day. Remember:
-4 pounds? thats not alot you can loose it in no time! plus its barely noticeable.
-you are your worst critic! I bet no one has noticed
-dont rush loosing weight!
-you are amazing! you are strong! you're not going to let a couple carbs bring you down!

I agree that opposites entice. additionally, an outgoing guy could sense greater tender around a shy lady via fact he does not sense upstaged or in opposition along with her. having pronounced that, some outgoing adult males do desire females who're comparable to them via fact they sense on the comparable point and could have greater powerful preliminary conversations. in many situations whilst a guy feels pulled in direction of a shy lady this is via fact he fairly has a retaining impulse, or perhaps there is just one thing else approximately her that pulls him, alongside with boobs like the 1st remark pronounced.
