Patience is the ability the remain internally and externally calm and undisturbed in the face of harm and difficulties in life. **You already have patience/endurance/tolerance within you.
**You already have compassion, generosity, unconditional love, peace and wisdom within you.
As a practising muslim, rest in the assurance that your prayers have already been answered, whether you feel like they have been or not.
**You have all these qualities within you already.
Practise presence, calmness, rest and peace: these are results of your prayers. Also frequently gather together with others with like beliefs as yours. This encouragement from others is imperative. *Please remember that difficulties in life, [even persecution] is what brings out your greatest qualities: Patience/Endurance/Tolerance,
Compassion, Unconditional Love, Generosity, Wisdom and Peace within you. Your learning how to release your greatest, most precious innate qualities. Be gentle and patient with yourself as your learning and growing.
Hope this helps some.

Oh,
yes I have this problem too sometimes.
&&, for instance, my bf and I are having a long distance relationship right now, which will change when we can move in together but anyway....I get to see him around x-mas :)
&& it's hard to wait sometimes....
hmm...maybe keep a calander? cross out the days and keep track, maybe what you could do, is enjoy the present until then....think about at least one thing every night that you liked about the day that passed and think about one thing you'd like to do the next day?
Maybe get a hobby, something to pass more time?
or meditate on becoming more patient?
hmm.......yea....sorry I'm a bit ADD right now, if I have any more ideas I'll come back and edit.
Blessed be && good luck finding more patience!!

O ye who believe! fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard against evil.
The prescribed fasting is for a fixed number of days, but whoso among you is sick or on a journey, shall fast the same number of other days; and for those who are able to fast only with great difficulty, is an expiation - the feeding of a poor man. And whoso does good of his own accord it is better for him. And fasting is good for you, if you only knew.

The word "patient" means "longsuffering". If you want patience, then you need to continue with your suffering until patience is complete in you.
