I stay in atl ga and I want to know can a police officier approach a child and interrogate him without the parents being their.?

I wouldn't think so. It seems the child should have an adult with them for questioning. But if the reason they're being questioned is of high importance, then they might have the right to question anybody that might have information to what they are searching for.

Yes, they can question anyone they want. The only time a parent has to be notified is if they use the children's word against him in the court of law.

I would assume they can question him in public but once arrested no. What do you mean was you're child under arrest or did the office question him during the course of an investigation?

I believe the answer is no especially if they are suspect in a crime. anyway there are a lot of lawyers that give free consultation i would contact one no your rights don't trust a public defender with your child
