Ephesius, a supposed Church Father, wrote an entire chapter on Pious Lying, claiming so long as you are doing it For God then it's ok to Lie. This is one of the men Christianity of today is built on.

Edit:
Does anywhere in that statement say I agreed with it? LOL I am pointing out History to you.... but please, continue your little rant as if you are the only one who knows anything. lol

No.

And I agree with you, it's hogwash about Ephesius. Or at least, as far as I know. No teachings I've ever heard justify lying, in ANY situation.

And by the way, Robin is a pagan, not a Christian. So watch who you call "you people."

Oh, and I can't seem to find a church father by the name of Ephesius, at least not with the spelling Robin gave. I found two men who were known as Ephesius: One was a diviner (not a Christian) who lived in the second century; his name was Artemidorus Daldianus or Ephesius; the other was named Artemidorus Ephesius, and he was a geographer who lived in the 2nd or 1st century B.C.

I'll continue to look, but in all my readings on the church fathers, I don't recall one by that name.

It's not OK for Christians to sin...at any time.

Col 3:5-10
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
(from New International Version)

It's not good for anyone to "sin" and if you have to "sin" to convert someone just leave them alone! Not everyone believes what you beleive and it's ignorant to think otherwise.

No. I think that sounds counterproductive.
