Christians who truly follow Christ DONT think they can do whatever they want. Thats called walking in the flesh and not the Spirit. Sincere followers dont just go to church-their lives are a daily testimony of what they believe. And why do they do those things..as a way of reverencing the Lord. The reason why Heaven is not based on the deeds of man is because then, you'd have thieves "selling salvation" as some do now and people walking around Heaven boasting what 'they did when they were on earth". Heaven is the equalizer...if you get in..thats ALL that matters.

Amazingly, Christians always utterly ignore Jesus when they discuss how to get into heaven. Instead, they always quote Paul (check this out, all the quotes about how to get to heaven will be from Paul).
However, Jesus was very clear....it is fully dependent on deeds. Besides saying the law is intact in Matthew, there are also the beatitudes.
The beatitudes are all about actions and deeds being what is required for comfort after death.
Now some Christians will say that when Jesus was crucified he got rid of these old "rules." If that were true, why did he give all his disciples the rules for getting into heaven if he was simply going to change them to "faith alone" just a few weeks later? Talk about an bait and switch!

*sigh* if only people would study.... Paradise in Hebrew is the word we have for Eden. The Garden of Eden was Paradise.
You're right, though, it is deceptive. But I don't believe it's deception caused by a being called Satan, but it is definitely a deception by man in order to gain more followers to their own slant on a religion that denies responsibility of the follower and places well on the shoulders of an innocent man.

There is only one deed - Jesus' work at Calvary.
Our deeds do not earn us our way into Paradise. The face that we accepted Christ and repented of our sin gets us there. If we could get there by our own deeds, then we render Jesus' death on the cross as useless.
Yet, this is not an excuse to do as we please. It is written, "Shall we sin that grace may abound? May it never be!" Grace was never meant as a visa for sin, but as a way to be lovingly convicted of sin so that we might repent. Grace gives us the opportunity to "get it right", so that we can continue to serve as the Lord has called us to.

Here is the real question, Why not take responsibility for your own actions?
Don't blame God, Satan, or anyone else. If you've done something wrong it's your fault. Don't use religion as a cop out, which is what so many people do.

Since you won't get any logical answers from Christians...here is my take.
Some of them can't trust themselves for anything. They need to be told what they can and what they can't do. They can't govern there own body, mind or soul. Instead of listening to their heart, they listen to age old myths. They feel the joy of belonging to something important and safe, the church. They are prisoners of god who FEAR life itself and await death as some silly judgment. They believe in evil and good, when most of us know that line can get real fuzzy. Ones good, will always be anothers evil.

Christ will create paradise on earth for you by his deeds. You will get to paradise by your deeds and your beliefs.

Jesus said our righteousness is as filthy rags.....our own deeds will never merit us heaven ....we are just not holy enough to stand before God on our own merit
the works of Jesus were pure and holy.....his offerings are acceptable
once we are in heaven, however, our deeds on earth are judged.

yes it is true that we will get to heaven threw Crist our savior, not by our good deeds.but we have to live our lives like Christ did the 33 years he was here. we will still be judged by Christ at the judgment seat of Christ. there we will answer for or sins and recieve our rewards for good service to God. on that day we christains will get right with God.

That is not what christians say. They do say it will be by Jesus deeds. That does not mean that our sin does not grieve the heart of God. It hurts him dearly. Why would I want to again crucify my savior. To quote Paul the apostle, "May it never be". I think you should read his letters.
