OK.. so I have been a little self pre-occupied and I havent been watching teh developmental changes of Christianity ... but someone just answered a question with this (I quote):

"Catholics are not saved Christians. Catholicism is a Babylonian cult that uses a few out of context Christian concepts to deceive. Catholics go to eternal hell, unless they leave the catholic cult"

Does that sound neighbourly to you or not?

Are Catholics gonna burn in hell with Atheists and agnostics - cause seems to me .. that's gonna be the happening place to be?

Yes, I realise that it was just the opinion of the avitar CJ.. and it is a statement that just seems so immensely bitter and at the same time smug... but his isn't the only example of this apparent malice.

Thanks {{Quella}} and {{Michael}} and {{Bella}} ... what an exemplary example of the loving Christian that you are!

God is interested in one thing only..What do you believe about my Son and who is my Son personally, to you? What did you do with the grace that I provided for you,in receiving my Son,as your Savior. All Catholics, all Protostants and any other group centered around the teachings of Jesus Christ, will one day be required to answer these questions. God sees though and looks past the stained glass windows and man made buildings,as he peers into the hearts of individuals, who claim to know him...God will judge all, according to what they believed and did with His Son.

I don't believe that it has stopped. What many call hate is the words No, and Your Wrong. Christians should base their truths on the Word of God.

1Ti 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
Tts 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith

Here is two scriptures that don't sound so very nice if your on the receiving end of them. Its the same with a child that is being disciplined. They don't like the discipline, but they should like what the outcome is.Today more than ever before Christians are faced with many false and deceitful doctrines trying to find there way into our midst. One is this thought that we are not to judge, but, read Matthew 7:5 not just verse 1, read Matthew 18:15-17, along with the scriptures already given. As Christians we should welcome judgment here rather than stand before our final Judge and find that we had not done all that we should have done. Some of these issues need to be dealt with very strongly, others simply need proper instruction.

However, please don't think that I totally disregard your question. Some of what you say is all to true and needs to be dealt with strongly as well.No matter what the situation, even a sharp rebuke should be given out of love and concern for that person.

Gaz..I have to believe that the person posting that comment is a troll (especially using the word 'Babylonian', just ask Rachel).

As a Christian...I'd never say that! Although, I know there are actually a few who do, just to provoke a response and to promote separation among us Christians.

That quote had nothing to do with Atheist or Agnostics...it was a 'Christian' attacking another Christian. Those are the ones that give us a bad name.

I hope you know, we are all not like that!

You know, there are so many things I'd like to discuss and talk about (referring to my email), but it's Christians like that, that hold me back from being my real self.

Hi Icy gazpacho,
It was never dropped, but it is sad to say that many "Christians" think that they are without sin and have this God like demeanor that makes them think that they can judge, point fingers and condemn all in their path. This type of thinking give true Christians a bad wrap.
There are people that are willing to believe this type of ranting and raving in order to feel like they belong to the righteous "saved" ones.
A true Christian would not speak so hateful.

Some Christians are very immature and do not know the word much less the mind of God

We cannot know for certain whether any person seeking God will be saved or not. It's not our job to judge nor our right to do so.

Rom 14:3-4
4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
(from New International Version)

James 4:11-12
12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you-who are you to judge your neighbor?
(from New International Version)

The denomination doesn't matter--the test is loving like Christ did. There are genuine Christians in Catholic and Protestant churches, as well as genuine hypocrites in both.

You have to know the difference between Christianity and Churchianity. One follows the teaching OF Jesus, and one follows the teachings ABOUT Jesus.

One can both love and tell the truth at the same time.

If you find hell to be so attractive then by all means plan accordingly. There will be plenty of room for you and lots of like-minded folk all regretting their life decisions.

What if I knew the bridge was out up ahead and that you were going to speed around the corner and crash, BUT, I was worried about upsetting you or you getting mad at me. Wouldn't you rather have me tell you the truth?
The key to heaven is available to all who are willing to accept it. Without Christ as your savior you can't get in. You can be sincere but sincerity isn't the key. Many people are doing so much in the name of God. Not all of them are right. Pick up you New Testament and prayerfully read it and let God reveal himself to you, don't let some person tell you what God wants. Find out for yourself.

Can't you all get over this burning in hell sh*t? You're obsessed with it. Take a look outside. It's probably a nice day where you are. Get interested in something outside of your imaginary hell will you? For ALL our sakes.

Well that sucks :(

I sure hope not because myself, children and husband would all be headed to hell if that were true :(

*sighs with sad look of confusion*

*prays for answer*

OK I'm over it...Thank God I believe in God and that he will judge who is going to heaven or hell and not what some lunatic perceives to be truth.

edit..Why thank you :)
