Hey Mooney you can always join the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. We have a 30 day policy....try our god for 30 days and if you don't like him your religion will probably take you back!
Plus, in the FSM heaven we have a beer volcano and a stripper factory.
I'll chug to that!
(On a more serious note, I completely agree with you about the repetition. It's like playing a record over and over again. It doesn't start getting fun til you play the record backwards!)

Absolutely not, and let's not forget the other side:
1. The Crusades, the Inquisition, "Why are ALL Christians this or that", Zeitgeist, direct quote from the God Delusion passed off as original thought, ad nauseum.
2. Theists, can you prove SCIENTIFICALLY that God does exist?
3. Theists, if there is NOT a God, what will you do?
4. Theists, do you only believe because you're afraid of death?
5. Theists, if you had not been brainwashed from birth, would you still believe in God?
Yes, there are a lot of repetitious and unoriginal questions...from all sides.

lol Do you really need this for an excuse to drink? I doubt it, but I do agree with you that it is mostly a waste of time asking these questions. Probably because of different reasons than you. The Bible says that only a fool hath said in his heart there is no God. The word fool means someone who is not mentally capable of reasoning and understanding, because the truth is no intelligent person can not know there is a God. Simply put an Atheist is mentally challenged or not being honest. Every person has their own volition which allows them to accept or reject God. Rejecting God is a God given right but to say there is no God is foolish.

How about putting all of these to rest also:
1) How do Christians "pick & choose" which of the Old Testament commands still apply, and which don't? (Answer, Jesus, Peter and Paul already did the picking for us -- answered a million times).
2) Anyone else notice that the genealogy of Jesus is different in Matthew than it is in Luke? (Ans: yes).
3) Who still believes in the Noah's Ark story?
4) oohhh! oooh! I found some tiny nit picky contradiction in an obscure, poorly translated version of the Bible. Doesn't that prove that all of religion is wrong? (Ans.: the Bible wasn't originally written in English.)

Yes I agree. I am on a personal quest to only ask and answer serious questions, however I do not get many responses to the serious questions I ask. It seems people like the BS, crazy questions more than they like serious questions. I think when Yahoo created this site it was to have a place to get information on things you want to know. I really do not thinkg Yahoo wanted it to become what it is in here.

It's getting so bad that I'm going to start asking all my religious questions over in Science > Biology. It's pretty slow over there, now that everyone's asking about evolution here.

They always need to be asked; but that doesn't mean that you or anyone else needs to answer them.
"2" is irrelevant unless one is willing to closely examine an argument for god's existence, which atheists in this forum studiously avoid.
"5" is quite personal, and perhaps someone who now recognizes that he or she is an atheist is looking for an opportunity to share his or her story about coming to understand himself or herself in that way.
As for "3" and "4", I never understood the motivation for asking them; but perhaps someone can enlighten me.

The answer to your questions are very simple.
To acknowledge God is to acknowledge his laws which in turn can bring guilt and possible conversion.
Yet, those who claim to be atheists refuse to believe in God because their love for sin is greater then their love for God. So by saying there is no God, they can justify to themselves a life of living in sin without the worry of being cast into hell.
That is until they die.

I well understand how repetitious questions of your belief system can be irritating, just as the same asinine Mormon questions are prevalent on this forum too.
Yet we Mormons aren't tempted to drink just because of the never-ending questions about us. We either explain our position or move on. Drink lots of water; it will keep your system flushed.

Nope. But then, Atheists have their own list of boring questions that you like to ask Christians. Truce?
