too much money advise sell the 6 banger and get a reasonasble v-8 model and then make your mods the car will need less since it was designed for more power from the factory. unless you got lots of money and time then the swap will be more a labour of love and less about $$$$$$

To do what you want, brand new crate motor (which you can't get the new Boss as, only as a block), and all the computer and drivetrain you could easily go close to 10G. Save the time, and hassle, sell your 6, and get a GT, go with the 94-'95 and the 5.0 is a drop in. If you are really set on using your '98, then look for a wrecked '94-'95 GT and use it for the rear (8.8 is a good rear) , computer, and possibly motor mounts.

1- there is no such thing as a NEW complete boss 302, let along find one complete, to be able to rebuild, price is underdeterminded due to they no longer made.

2- boss 302 dont have a computer, price 0

3- 9 in is about a 1000.00

4- exhaust, 200 - 500

It isn't economically feasible to do a v8 swap. Get a mid 90's with a 5.0 and 5 speed manual. You'll be way ahead, they are pretty quick just like they are.
