Yes!! This particular pastor told me what I "NEEDED" to hear not what I wanted to hear. This opened me up to alot of things I was trying to either hide or forget about. When I could be totally honest with the pastor and more importantly with myself and put all the cards on the table I was so relieved as if a giant weight was lifted off my chest. I will never be able to repay him for turning my life around and making me see the side I earlier could not see. He is also responsible for showing me the way to happiness by showing me how to let the Holy spirit into my heart. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and to this day I'm totally amazed at the Gift that is there if you choose to accept it. My only regret is that it took me 40 years to find God and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. GOD BLESS!!!

Oh my goodness...all the time...but I know that its not so much the pastor but God working through the pastor. The preacher is just the vessel delivering Gods' word. When you go to church, you should always ask God to give you a word..of encouragement or wisdom, of peace...and He will. The tears come when that Word hits your spirit and it was just what you needed...mmm....yep..I cry in church all the time...

I cried rivers of tears at the age of seven when my pastor told me my grandfather, whom I loved dearly, was going to hell because he didn't believe in Christ. Since then I knew there was absolutely nothing true about Christianity, because I knew in my heart a man like my grandfather wasn't going to any place called hell. Now Christianity would have my parents and two siblings in hell as well. What a vile and wicked religion filled with filthy lies.

yeah.
Once when I was 15, some sadistic asshat had me a blubbering mess over the idea that my best friend would go to hell because I had not done enough to save his immortal soul. It's one of the reasons I started looking for a less painful way to understand divinity.

Ravi Zacharius
If you've never heard of him, he was born and raised in India, later converted to Christianity and lectures all over the world.

Yes.
By my favorite priest.
'Be good. You will find it is not that hard.'
I have never forgotten those words since he told them to me all those years ago, even when I'm at my worst.
No, I'm not religious, at all.
So I hope, that at the end of my life, I can say that I was good.

Yep. I'd go into details but I'd just get thumbs-down votes. From pretty much everybody.
