You need a couple of reloading manuals. Lee makes an informative one. One from the bullet manufacturer would be good. The Lee Breechlock Challenger kit is a decent one. It is available for $114.95 shipped from Kittery Trading Post. You will need a set of dies for .357 Mag. Get the Lee Carbide set. You should also get a brass tumbler and a caliper. Other than that, you will need brass, bullets, powder, and primers. I get powder and primers from a local reloading supply store since both require a $25 hazmat fee if you get them shipped.

You can get a new ruger GP100 4 or 7" barrel for about 450 new. I got one last year, a fantastic firearm.
Wide range of price from 200 for a cheap used one up to over 1,000 for some new ones. Really depends on what you're looking for. Don't get a Taurus, I had one before I got my Ruger, it served better as a paper-weight than a revolver.

You can't get any new revolver in .357 today for less than about $350, even the lower grade ones like the imports. S&W's are like $500+.

Ruger gp100 around $500
Taurus model 66 around 350 - 400
Smith and Wesson nothing less than 600 based on their website.
Rossi made by Taurus are fairly inexpensive but many shooters do not like them. My buddy loved his though. 250 to 350 for them
The other two are prices based on what I saw in my gun shop. I am in the market for one myself. I am liking the Ruger so far. The prices are also based in IL Land of President Daily and VP Jessie Jackson. Yes I live in the Land of No Common Sense.

Too many variables for any one person to give you a decent answer. You need to know manufactuer, condition, pistol, revolver, is it hot, how was it stored. I'm assuming that you know of one for sale? Otherwise, why a .357?
