I hope you rethink this.
Despite what happens on here, I have always respected your persistence in remaining a positive voice for Islam. I have admired your ability to not let the haters get to you. As I continue my journey towards reversion, you have inspired me not to let them get to me.
But if you do choose to go, I will send you with my wishes for much happiness. Salaam, sister.

I hope you'll come back after having learned the difference between bluntness and bigotry, and between informing/documenting and proselitizing.
Many of us in the West made enormous sacrifices just a few decades ago to figh the nazi threath. We are not willing to substitute some form of fascism to an other, religious or ideological.
If you see where we come from, maybe you will understand, and forgive us.
And I'll ignore your suggestion that we seek psychiatric help for our delusions — some time off will help you cool down, maybe.
> I'm leaving the R and S board. It's just too filled with hate filled bigots who are going to hate no matter what anyone does or says. If a Muslim were to lay down their life to save them and they saw this, they'd still say they hate them or somehow twist it into a "good, they're worthless anyway. Only good Muslim is a dead one".
I'm moving onto a better place, where this type of hatred is almost non existant. You people just have so much hatred and are so blinded by your hatred, you refuse to see the good in anyone you've already made up your mind about even never having met them or seen them on the site before. Good luck and I sincerely hope you seek psychiatric help for the delusion you have that every single one of us wants to come after you.

Well I don't blame you, there is a lot of hate on this board. But I try to ignore it, there are other things you can get from it. I think you do change at least some people's perspective about Muslims...I know most Muslims are not the ones they portray on TV. The Lesbian and Gay section is full of hate filled bigots but there are still good people there too. We do change a few people's minds. If you leave you let them win, and then no one will be able to show them that their opinions are wrong. You can't change every-bodies mind, but 1 is just enough. Anyway, even if you do leave I respect your decision. Maybe taking a break is better. And I will say that I have read some of your post and I respect the fact that you try to change misconceptions. I know you stand for tolerance which is good. (I think you even gave me a best answer). Anyway, if you do leave, goodbye and good luck. And I don't usually say that to people but I understand exactly how you feel right now, and I do think you will be missed. Peace.

When you leave because of bigots you pretty much allow them the victory. It seems a lot of people subject themselves to those types of things by clicking on the questions that are obviously meant to offend, or reading offensive answers over and over and then blame the bigots for the feelings you get from reading them. You can't expect things to get better when you turn your back because of hatred. And no matter where you go, you are going to run into that type of thing... even with people you think are "good" or well-meaning. When you know a person has already had their mind made up about a person/race/sex/religion, then why bother with them? In all groups, no matter what the mix, there is good and bad.... You have to learn how to see the good in all things, even when it's something you Hate as well. Which is obvious from your post.
But if you are set on this, then Good Luck. But I seriously doubt you are going to get away from it. You will only be setting yourself up to run some more.

you can't base everyone on the actions of a few people. It's a hard lesson to learn. If you go elsewhere then you'll find a few who won't like you either. Ignore the bad and take the good - it's like anything else. It isn't much different elsewhere. It's partially YOU also - it's the others but it's you too. what good does it do tomake threats. This forum is intended to attract all kinds of thoughts and beliefs. Which makes for intense discussion. So, take the good - ignore the bad. you just can't let people get to you.
paranoia will destroy you.....

Don't leave. You're going to have to accept that many people are mean and rude and blinded by hatred. If there are so many people here, imagine how the world is like. Keep on fighting and try to open people's eyes. Best of luck!

So what your just going to tuck your tail in your between your legs and run like a whipped dog.
I have many Islamic friends that have persevered with more hate then these whinning little punks. You are better then they are.
Islams are a religion that shouldn't run from idiots.
We Mormons receive as much persecution from idiots who only know how to hate, this doesn't mean you should run.
Stay and fight the good fight Allah (pbuh) will bless you for putting up with these idiots. Imagine what Muhammad (pbuh) went through. Besides we need intelligent people here, there is very few of us as is. The idiots are taking over please stay and drive the idiots out of R&S.
A friend of Islam

I currently understand your position; even though I do not agree with it. It reminds me of a Jesus story; 99 sheep were safe with the shepard; but the shepard went after the one lamb.
It also reminds me of Sodom & Gomorrah; the Lord would have spared the majority for the minority 10), but Lot and his family (less than 10) left; so the majority paid the price.
I hope you find what you are looking for soon; to God's praise!!!

I'm really sorry to hear that Muslimah...since I have been in R&S I have learned so much about your faith from your posts.
You seem to be pretty angry at the moment, and no doubt it's warranted, but please don't make this decision in haste and anger. Take a break from R&S for a while then see how you feel.
Bigotry is hard to endure, in my life I encounter it a lot and it can be very hurtful. Don't forget that in leaving this forum, you won't be eliminating bigotry from your life, just limiting it a little. You will still have to face it else where.
Do take a break, we all need one from time to time. But know that if you go permanently, you will be much missed.
Much regards,
Tash

Hey, you are over-generalizing, which is the very thing you accuse us of doing! How unfair!
I've never said a word against you!
I hope you can find the truth: that not all of us are, as you say, "hate filled bigots."

I am a Muslim..but I'll stay to re-correct those who misinterpret our faith and help educate the ones who don't have a clue about our faith...I know there are some that won't ever understand, because they are just really slow and well...stupid...
To those who don't want to educate themselves on other world religions [that aren't just bias doctrines, but ones that truly speak of the religion that it is], and be in this forum are stunting their knowledge and growth as human beings...and it is truly a shame.
